Sharing a passion for environmentally-friendly cycling, two men from Chengdu in Sichuan Province have made their own bikes from bamboo. To optimize the performance of their homemade bikes, the pair had to carry out a series of trial runs to tweak the design concept. And now their hard work has paid off - one of the bikes recently completed the 30-day journey from Chengdu to Tibet, a trip of around 2,500 kilometers.
